New magistrates in the Capital to deal with problematic areas in the government of the mainland Dominions: Provveditori sopra Camere, Riformatori dello Studio di Padova, Provveditori alle Fortezze, Provveditori ai Beni Inculti, Provveditori sopra Feudi, Provveditori al Bosco del Montello, Savi and Esecutori alle Acque, Provveditori ai Confini. The Senate becomes the seat of the main political decisions, while the Major Council is the holder of the sovereignity and the pool for covering the offices in the Councils and magistrates. Updates to the local statutes: the approbation by the Senate transforms them into legislation of the State. Conflicts with the catholic Church on matters of censorship and jurisdiction. Statal legislation overruling all other rules of law. Criminal policy aiming at disarming the population to contain organised crime. Anti-feudal policy in matters of taxes and feudal jurisdictions.
