Kjetil Storesletten, Professor of Economics at the University of Minnesota, delivered a special lecture at the Ph.D. programme in Economics and Management offered by the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Padova on "How Should Tax Progressivity Respond to Rising Income Inequality?".
Kjetil Storesletten is the Richard and Beverly Fink Professor of Economics at University of Minnesota and a Fellow of the Econometric Society. Kjetil is a macro economist with research interests spanning quantitative macroeconomics, business cycles, political economy, public finance, risk sharing, asset pricing, and immigration. Kjetil’s work has appeared in in the most renowned economic journals, including the Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Political Economy, American Economic Review, and Econometrica. He has served as a member of the executive monetary policy committee for the Norwegian Central Bank, as well as editor of the Review of Economic Studies and as President of the European Economic Association.
