Development of statutory legislation. First restatement with slight modification in Statutum Novum, under doge Jacopo Tiepolo. Elaboration, discussion, deliberation, approbation. Three prologues and five books. Some legal institutes: the fraterna society and its difference from the ancient Roman societas; venditiones ad usum novum, an intervention of the State on the estate market; abusive exercise of one's rights strictly forbidden, confirming the monopoly of the State on the composition of controversies, both in civil and criminal matters. Order of the sources of rules of law; analogy also adopted in criminal matters. Further additions to the Statutum Novum: the capitular of Curia di Petizion; Liber Sextus under doge Andrea Dandolo; Correzioni i.e. additions until the XVII century; Novissimum Statutorum ac Venetorum legum volumen, a XVIII-century official edition of the complete texts of statutory laws.
